el funeral was founded in Playas de Tijuana by singer, songwriter and producer Scott Russo (Unwritten Law) and is comprised by members of diferente bands from the Tijuana México and California scene. Moises Casillas on guitar (Horny Toad, The untouchables), Tarek on rhythm guitar (Los Kung fu Monkeys), Chacho on stand up Bass (Revolución Zebra, Nuestra Sangre y Koñorteño) Oxi on Vocals and Alex Zúñiga drummer for the legendary band (Tijuana No!) Their music is a mix of different sounds like 60’s Jamaican ska, surf, indie, with a touch of pop, new wave and lounge music. Always evolving with their own unique sound. Their first e.p.
